Administrative Assistant to the Sales Manager

Mississauga, ON

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to the Sales Manager to work from our office in Mississauga in the area of Dixie and Derry Road. Hours are 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm.

We are seeking someone who can support a 20-person sales team, speak to clients, possibly do presentations, attend trade shows, complete agreements, write emails and correspondence, screen and interview new sales reps and fully assist the Sales Manager in their role. This is a very busy position with responsibility to take all admin work off the sales manager so they can focus on making sales.

You will be dealing with sales reps and clients in both Canada and the US, so knowing the difference in US and Canadian spelling and grammar is a big plus.

You should have Business, Sales, Human Resources, Assistant,  Recruitment or Staffing industry  knowledge or experience to be considered for the role.


You must:

  • Possess excellent, fast, and accurate computer skills.
  • Be completely responsible for your duties.
  • Work well with others.
  • Be able to take charge when required.
  • Speak clear, fluent English.
  • Be able to lead meetings.
  • Be able to interview and hire salespeople.
  • Be able to write emails and correspondence with excellent spelling and grammar.
  • Be able to call clients and salespeople to follow up.
  • Be able to handle all tasks when the Sales Manager is away.


Not required, but a big plus is:

  • The ability to perform online presentations
  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Experience writing and reviewing contracts
  • Experience performing client technical training
  • Experience performing sales CRM training for new sales reps
